I got my bike back today. I couldn't believe it when I walked downstairs and the owner of my guesthouse told me that it was waiting for me at the train station. Good news! It's time to move on.

good to hear you got your bike back. HOw did that earthquake feel? Could you feel it in Varanasi or not? It's been phoonin' quite a bit in ilan, so just raining a lot, but nice when it is nice. we had plans to ride to that "sick-a-moose" like-named aboriginal village (i think in hsinchu country) you guys rode to last year, but had to cancel due to bad weather. yet, we've still got a month or so to do longer trips before the rain in here permanently. keep them pictures coming...especially of india.

your trip sounds fantstic. I am thinking about touring by bike and have seen that you are using a trailer rather than paniers! What was the deciding factor in this and how do you think it performs compared to panniers on climbs?
